Tapenade Provençale – Classic French Olive Spread Recipe

A gourmet appetizer from Southern France — this rich olive spread is the perfect blend of briny, garlicky, and earthy flavors. Best served on warm toasted baguette slices, ideally with a glass of crisp white wine.

🧄 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup pitted black olives (Niçoise or Kalamata)

  • 2 tablespoons capers (rinsed)

  • 2 anchovy fillets

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • A pinch of dried thyme and ground black pepper

  1. Combine olives, capers, anchovies, garlic, and lemon juice in a food processor.

  2. Pulse a few times to break up the ingredients.
